The Holy Father proclaimed a day of fasting for peace

At the end of the general audience on 23 February 2022, the Holy Father, Pope Francis, asked everyone to observe a day of fasting for peace on Ash Wednesday, 2 March. He especially encouraged the faithful to devote themselves to prayer and fasting on that day, asking for the intercession of the Virgin Mary, the Queen of Peace. In addition to the intentions expressed in the earlier pastoral letter of the Bishops' Conference - for the sake of our Hungarian homeland and people -, we should also encourage the faithful during the Holy Masses on 27 February to offer our fasting, prayers and good deeds on Ash Wednesday for the preservation of peace, as the Holy Father intended.
