Aid provided by Caritas Hungary during the Ukrainian War - Report 08-03-22

- Financial emergency support to Transcarpathia (1,000,000 HUF)
- Blankets, mattresses, towels, bedding, bandages for internal refugees in Transcarpathia (2.500.000 HUF)
- First round of supplies to Transcarpathia in two trucks, containing durable food: 525 litres of oil, 9810 boxes of liver pate, 800 kg of pasta, 1690 pieces of canned peas  (4,000,000 HUF)
- Second round of supplies to Transcarpathia: 100 blankets, 2500 kg of durable food (flour, rice, beans, oil, sugar, pasta), 70 kg of sweets (compote, jam, biscuits, chocolate, Neapolitan wafers), 15 kg of pet food, (4,000,000 HUF)     
- 10 smaller rounds of supplies in mini vans directly to Transcarpathian (durable food, blankets, mattresses) (total value around 10,000,000 HUF)

- Caritas Base in Barabás (from the 27 February)
                   Catering for the newcomers (water, sandwiches, tea, biscuits,
                    hot soup etc)
                   Transport to the requested places: railway stations, larger
                   settlements
                   Organizing accommodation for them
                   Heated shelter with 40 bTeds
                   First aid (volunteer doctors)
                   Food packs for transport (water, sandwiches, tea, biscuits,
                   tissue,etc)
                   Number of employees: 6 / day
                   Number of volunteers: 12 / day
                   Number of refugees: 200-1000 / day (it depends on the flow)

- Caritas Base at East Railway Station (from 2 March)
                   Catering for the newcomers (water, sandwiches, tea, biscuits,
                   hot soup etc)
                   Transport to the requested places: railway stations, larger settlements
                   Organizing accommodation for them (together with the disaster response team)
                   Number of employees: 4 / day
                   Number of volunteers: 20 / day
                   Number of refugees: 1500-2500 / day (it depends on the flow)

- The Diocesan Caritases provide and organize accommodation and meals for refugees (hundreds of refugees per day in different places)
